Upclose and personal with beauty blogger Veethee Dixit of DaintAngel

Can my readers get the chance to know a little about you?.

Hello people! I am Veethee Dixit. I am from India. I fell in love with words since the time I entered my teenage. Beauty is my other obsession. So, these two passions combined made me a beauty blogger. I am an engineering student but by passion, I am a blogger.

veethee dixit for lexhansplace 1
Veethee Dixit

Why did you choose blogging?

I have always been passionate about writing. I made my first blog just to preserve the work written by me. The idea of a Beauty blog was given to me by a friend and a mentor. He gave me a compliment regarding my looks and fashion sense and said that I should start a beauty blog, and I did! Before that I never realized that I was so passionate about this niche.

Whats your inspiration on blogging?

There is a lot of information I wanted to share with people out there and that information could have been really useful for most of them. Blogging was the best way to do this.

What content or niche do you blog on?

I am a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger. Although, right now most of the work on my blog is focused on beauty and Fashion.

In a few words. Describe your blog?

My blog is a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle that focuses mostly on skin and hair care, makeup trends and other lifestyle aspects. It provides beauty tips and tricks that will help you achieve your desired look without spending a lot of time and money and save you your frequent trips to the salon.

Whats the name of your blog?

Dainty Angel-
daintyangel for lexhansplace 1
daintyangel hompage

Surely your blog has social media platforms for people to interact with, can you list them out?

I am super active on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I also have a Facebook page for my blog with the same name. Here are the links to my various profiles-

veethee dixit for lexhansplace 2

In a few years, what do you expect of your blog?

At present, my blog is in the development phase but I am gonna make a huge transformation sometime soon. I’ll also add a relationship section for dating and parenting advice. I do expect it to be among top beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogs. I really want people to be benefitted by my work. So, better stay tuned!

How much time do you commit to your blog?

At present, I update my blog weekly (2 posts per week). So I am a part time blogger. But I definitely aspire to be a full-time blogger in near future.

Would you encourage others to get a beauty blog?

If they are a passionate beauty freak, have a lot of beauty related information or tips and tricks to share, love to try out new beauty products and fashion accessories or at least interested in the field of beauty and fashion, then yes, I would definitely encourage others to start a beauty blog.

Most beauty blogs have a mix of fashion posts or articles on fashion products, are we goin to see that soon on your blog?

Yes, definitely. In fact, I have already started to include fashion related posts on my blog. There are much more to come!
daintyangel for lexhansplace 2
other sections on the blog.

As a beauty blogger. How many beauty brands in your country or overseas have you worked with? Can you name a few if possible?

I haven't really worked with any brand, specifically as I mostly blog about beauty tips, tricks, hacks and skin care. Although, I have provided reviews for some products on my blog to help readers choose their products wisely.

Have you been to any beauty show or event for bloggers in your country?

None till now.

Apart from your country, what other country will you love to visit someday and why?

I would really like to visit the US. I live in a place where the society makes you follow certain rules and regulations. I have always heard that Americans live their life according to their own will and enjoy it with full freedom. Moreover, I have always wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Whats the engagement on beauty blogs like between the blog owner and the visitors/readers?

I engage with my readers mostly via discussions that take place in the comments section. They have other options to communicate with me as well, like my social profiles.

To you is blogging your profession or just a hobby?

Blogging started as a hobby, but now I monetize my blog with different advertising networks. So it’s a profession now!

Making money on blogs or passion for blogging. Which comes first to you?

Of course, passion for blogging comes first. Most people nowadays are stuck with a job they don’t wanna do. I consider myself lucky that I have the liberty to do what I love and enjoy the most!

Since you have been into blogging for a while. Whats your advice for newbies?

First and foremost, you have to be a frequent blog reader before you think about starting a blog. Never start a blog merely for the purpose of making easy money. Blogging is the right field for you only if you are passionate enough to carry out various tasks related to your blog. The title of a post should be such that it sparks an interest among the audience and make them wanna read more. Last, but not the least- Be patient. Don’t expect a blog to flourish overnight. It requires a lot of time, effort, and most importantly a passion for making a blog successful. Keep an optimistic approach and you are good to go!

Thank you for your time.

We get to meet various set of people day in day out as we connect and network with people on social media and i was opportuned to meet up with a warm and friendly travel blogger by the name Miriam Ernst. A German who loves to travel a lot and we took time out to get a few questions answered and here it came out wonderfully well.

Read through the travel life of another seasoned traveler.

Lets get to meet you, so tell me, what is your name?

Miriam Ernst
miriam ernst for lexhansplace1

Where are you from?

 Are you married or single?

Do you have kids? If yes… how many are they?

No I don’t.

What was upbringing like for you as a person?

A lot of love and adventures with my family! But also hard moments during school.

Traveller or Tourist, which should people address you as?

Traveller please. I think a traveller tries to experience the place more than a tourist does and also cared for the country you travel to.
miriam ernst for lexhansplace2

What is your blog name and link?

It’s called Be-Sparkling:

Why choose travel blogging from every niche out there? Passion or Influence?

Absolute Passion. I flew the first time in an airplane when I was only 6 months old. I think I got the wish to see the world from my mom! But I do not only write about Travel, but also about Fashion and Lifestyle.

Tell me a little about your travel experience?

Well I took the first plane when I was barely 6 months old, the love for travelling I got from my mom and since then it is only getting worst. I am trying to travel at least once a month and some day trips around the area where I live. I love to see new things, meet new people and learn about different cultures.

Solo travel or travel with companions, which is best to you?

I am not a big solo traveller. For a weekend trip okay, when it is longer I only travel with someone. You don’t have to be at all times together, but it is nice to take on adventures together.

Who do you miss the most when you travel?

Probably my family, but as I am living in different countries I am missing them at all times!

Tell me your very best meal on travels and why?

My very best is difficult, but I really LOVE LOVE LOVE the dumplings from the cheapest one Michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong Din Tai Fung.
miriam ernst for lexhansplace3

miriam ernst for lexhansplace4

Which goes for you? Coffee or Tea?

Both! Depends on the moment and mood I am in. In Summer more coffee in winter more tea ;)

Which country from your travel lists has the best of the question above?

For coffee Bali was a great experience! They have this amazing coffee where a cat-similar animal ‘The Luwak’  eats the red been, digests them and after this process what is left of the been is used for coffee making – delicious but also one of the most expensive coffees in the world!

Which country from the countries you have visited has the friendliest people?

I am in love with Italians! That is also why I want to go back to live there one day for sure ! But Indonesian people are super friendly too!

How many countries have you visited?

Mention a few of the countries you have been to. Good questions, something more than 25 for sure p.e. Philippines, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Indonesia, Egypt, USA, Mexico, France, Portugal, Italy, …

Your scary moment from your travels you want to share with me?

When the police got called in Hong Kong because I had pepper spray with me in the cabin bag … I wrote a full post about this, I was scared as hell as I had no idea what the worst case could have been….
miriam ernst for lexhansplace5

What is your most embarrassing moment as a traveller?

Probably the same as above, bringing pepper spray to a country that could get you in prison for these kind of things…

The longest you have stayed away from home?

Depends what home is. In the last 7 years I was living ‘home in Germany’ only for 6 months.

What’s that best travel advice you have ever received from people when on travels?

And from who in particular gave you this advice? I don’t remember any travel advice in particular at the moment, but if I’d have to give you my best advice, it would be to enjoy the moment and don’t plan too much ahead. On site you always meet people and get new tips and ideas and if you’re not flexible enough to change your trip you might miss out on the best thing of the full trip!

The worst travel advice you ever gotten on travel and from whom?

Same as above, I don’t  recall any ‘worst’ advice…

If you were to choose from your visited countries, which of them will you want to live in?

I am a total Italy fan! I have already been living there for 5 years and one day soon I’ll go back and live my life there! I just love the energy and way of life of the Italians!

What’s your fondest childhood travel memory?

Every year when we went to some amazing beach, my dad worked a full day in creating a sand castle for us to play with. But not just a sand castle as you guys know them, but a place we could actually play IN. 1,5 meters deep and some meters long, just like a one-room apartment! Amazing !

What is the farthest destination you have ever been to?

Philippines… and they are soooo beautiful!

Do you send post cards when away from home?

I usually don’t. I prefer to bring some small gift from the places I have been to, but I am really bad with that too!

Hot or Cold, what’s your best weather for travel destinations?

Absolutely hot!

Which country tops your wish list of next travels?

Cuba! I am too afraid of missing the original Cuba that I have to go there this year.

Here is one I like to ask a lot, tell me your Travel Bag-pack, Can you reveal what and what you take along for your travels?

I am not a backpack traveller, so my Bag is pretty similar to a normal tourist. A phone is a must, a good book to read, Bikini, a high heel and dress (I love to go out at night), some sporty clothing for the more adventurous trips and a good camera or extra battery for the phone! All the rest can be found on site if needed.

As a travel blogger and a person, how can people get to interact with you, see images and videos of your travels. Do you use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. Can you share your social links so people can connect with you?

miriam ernst for lexhansplace6

There are different ways to interact with me and I am always happy to answer all types of questions.
First my blog, where you can directly contact me in private or comment your questions under every blog post.

Any word of advice for other travel bloggers out there?

As I said before, enjoy the moment and be flexible when travelling! You never know when you meet the best travel companions or get the tip for THE best location.

Rashmi, Chhavi & Chalukya: Location: Pisa, Italy

What are your names?

We are 'Chalukya' and my wife 'Rashmi'. We travel with our daughter 'Chhavi' who has been accompanying us on our travels since she was 6 months old.

Where are you from?

Mumbai, India.

What was upbringing like for you as a person?

We are both are lucky to be from a very liberal thinking family. Our parents too love travelling and have travelled much of India.

Are you married or single?

We are married.

Do you have kids? If yes… how many are they?

We have a daughter Chhavi who is now 2 years old.

How is traveling around the world for you both?

We travel as a family and we believe it is great to travel together than solo.

Do you both give yourselves much attention during your travels or is it just all about the trip?

Travel has been a passion for both of us. We have never traveled solo we believe exploring the unknown and cherishing the happy moments is doubled when shared with loved ones. We completely believe in being each other's better half.

What’s your best moment on travels?

Sitting on the pebble beach of Etretat in France and watching the sunset through the white chalf cliffs while Chhavi played with the pebbles.

Rashmi & Chalukya for lexhansplace
Rashmi & Chalukya: Location: Sintra, Portugal

How do you combine blogging, watching the kids and family generally?

We share the blogging business and manage it together. I work full time as a software engineer and my wife is homemaker managing household chores and our little angel. We invest our spare time into blogging.

You are a travel blogger and from it all, what will you prefer to be called? Traveller or Tourist?

Traveller. We love to explore and learn something new about the history and culture of every place. Its not just about taking pictures :)

You own a blog, a travel blog, why choose travel blogging from every niche out there? Passion or Influence? What inspired it?

Passion. To escape the hectic and monotonous 9 to 6 jobs and to respite from the hustle-bustle of the city we started exploring places in and around Mumbai. Mumbai monsoon is a boon for the trekking enthusiasts and the nature lovers. Hiking through the lush green forests, the gushing streams and chirping of the birds rejuvenated our spirits and refreshed our soul. And traveling became an indispensable part of our life. We then for reference of friends and family started jotting down our experiences and subsequently started a blog.

What is your blog link?

Ok, now tell me, what are your travel fears?

Traveling to a new place is always followed by surprises, we weren't really worried about these until we started traveling with our kid. We always hope that the environment, weather, etc turns out to be comfortable for our kid. Nevertheless, we are 101% prepared with a preplanned schedule for sightseeing, strict travel times to be home before dusk for kids evening feeds and good rest.

Rashmi: Location: BRUGES, Belgium for lexhansplace
Rashmi: Location: BRUGES, Belgium

What are your biggest travel challenges?

The challenge was traveling with our kid. As stated we started traveling with our kid when she was 6 months old. But now she is well acquainted with traveling after traveling to 19 countries till now. We travel with our little daughter and so we try to spend our day during trips as planned.

Tell a little about your travel experience?

traveling had always been our passion and we explored most part of India but international travel was kind of dreamy due to financial issues. Luckily for us, we got an offer to work in Switzerland for a year and we grabbed this opportunity to explore much of Europe. Europe is best to travel with kids that may be a reason we could cover so many countries with our kid. Countries in Europe are well connected by Rail and flights which also made our trips easy and comfortable.

Solo travel or travel with companions, which is best to you?

Traveling with a company is best. Exploring beautiful places, wonderful nature, stunning architecture, incredible history and sharing happy moments can be best done with loved ones.

Who do you miss the most when you travel?

Our parents too have a passion for traveling and love to explore new places. We invited them to Europe to join us on a trip to Paris, Rome and most of Switzerland. We wish they could join us on many more trips.

While on travels, tell me your very best meal or that quick food you cannot go a day without?

We have enjoyed devouring on local specialties but Mc Donalds or Subway have always come to our rescue whenever we need a quick meal. Besides we always carried home cooked food for our kid and got it microwaved in one of these joints, the people in  Mc Donalds or Subway have been very understanding and helpful.

As a traveler who goes around the world, you are always on the move so tell me, which goes for you? Coffee or Tea?

From your tea or coffee question, which country from your travel lists has the best of it?

Portugal and southern part of India.

Going a little bit deeper on this very question now, don’t get emotional but just tell me which country from the countries you have visited has the friendliest set of people?

Switzerland. People always greeted us when commuting in train or buses. They were always the first to strike a conversation. If they could not continue due to language problem as do not know English in Switzerland they would at least try entertaining our kid in their own lovely way.
Chalukya & Chhav: Location: Reichenbach, Switzerland for lexhansplace
Chalukya & Chhavi: Location: Reichenbach, Switzerland

How many countries have you visited? Mention a few of the countries you have been to, like 5 if possible.

So far we have been to 20 countries. 19 with our daughter... France, Switzerland, Greece, Italy and Portugal.

The longest you have stayed away from home?

Our longest trip is 15 days to United Kingdom where we traveled to all 4 countries of UK England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. We needed a separate visa to visit the UK so we wanted to make complete use of the visa so planned to cover much of UK.

What’s that best travel advice you have ever received from people when on travels? And from who in particular gave you this advice?

Best advice was to travel like locals and explore city on foot or at the least through the public transport. Advice not in particular by anyone but we got them through reading numerous travel blogs.

The worst travel advice you ever got on travel and from whom?

Worst and frustrating travel advice was on how we should travel with kids, because every parent knows how to take care of their kids than anyone else.

If you were to choose from your visited countries, which of them will you want to live in?

What is the farthest destination you have ever traveled to?

We have traveled in Europe and its well connected with rails and flight so it was easy for us to travel different countries. So basically yet to make that farthest destination.

If given the chance to write a novel or short story on any of your trips around the world, which of the travels will you pick and why?

We would we glad to write about our experiences on our trip to Ladakh in India which was our unplanned trip, we had most memorable moments, biked through snow-capped mountains, river rafting, etc.

What is it that you have wished you brought back from a travel that you never did? And from which destination is it?

Glass works of Murano, Italy are incredibly stunning. We wished to get some back home.

Do you send post cards when away from home?

No. We take GBs of pictures and share them.

Tell me your favorite pet?

Your best weather for travels in your various destinations?

Depends on the destination that we travel, but we believe that there is something new and beautiful to explore in all seasons.

You have a list of countries you want to visit someday, so can you tell me just 3 from that list, and why you want to visit these 3 countries?

Tibet – To visit monasteries.

Turkey – To visit Cappadocia fairytale chimney.

Africa – Wild Life Safari

What’s your bag-pack like for travels? Can you reveal what and what you take along for your travels?

Pack light for self and everything possible for kid right from food to her favorite toys.

Every travel blogger or traveler generally have that social platform were people get to interact with them, see images and videos of their travels. Like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc. Can you share your social links so people can connect with you?

leXHansplaCE: Wow dats cool... Getting to know you more, tell leXHansplaCE.. Where you are from and a little about your family background?...

ChincooBee: Am from Ogun State (Ago Iwoye).. Am the only girl in a family of 3 so am practically the middle lady.

leXHansplaCE: Now that's to say you are the baby of the house?

ChincooBee: Lolz if I hear. Well am a big baby.

leXHansplaCE: Lolz, thats by the way doh... So tell me.. Besides being an HOUR Executive, what else do you do?

ChincooBee: HR or HOUR :p

leXHansplaCE: Sorry, typo error...

ChincooBee: Ok don't mind me, I make fabric accessories. It's just a creative idea I decided to embark on to keep myself busy.

leXHansplaCE: How busy are we talking about?

ChincooBee: I mean finding something to do at my leisure.

leXHansplaCE: Ok.... I know you are also a blogger... Tell leXHansplaCE about the blog.. What is the drive behind it?

ChincooBee: Am a baby blogger ooo and practically am not like you people nah. Anyway the idea behind the blog is simply to reach out to clients and it has been yielding positive results within the short period. The blog is one that showcases my creative ideas in respect of the fabric accessories I make.

leXHansplaCE: Results, should I say a lot of money.... Profits here and there?

ChincooBee: Habaaaaaaa no jor. Not plenty money but I bless God.

leXHansplaCE: That's the spirit. Profit is profit and as usual, you gotta bless God... So what will you call a challenge for you, as a HR and also a Creative designer 'fabric accessories' and also a blogger... How do you combine all these?

ChincooBee: Thatz the problem. It's not easy even though am not an everyday blogger. Well like I said the fabric Accessory is what I do at my leisure except I have special order which means working extra hours at night. Moreso, the blog aspect entails uploading the works I have done. Though the fact that I don't blog everyday doesn't make it easier either but in all, I just have to create time for everything provided that one activity doesn't affect the other negatively.

leXHansplaCE: Ok... Hmmmm, let's see.... Let's get kinda personal... You are a beauty when one tlks about it all so tell leXHansplaCE... Is Bisola Bakare married?

ChincooBee: Beauty? See washhhhhhh...Am not married.

leXHansplaCE: Lolz, you sure are a beauty... Ok, since not married, tell us about HIM... Just a peep through I'ld say..

ChincooBee: Which him? Did I say there is any HIM?

leXHansplaCE: Going away from ur relationships... Tell leXHansplaCE what you do when you are not HR'ing, not Fabric designing, and not blogging... 'How do you pass tyme?

ChincooBee: Well, on weekends, it's either there is an owanbe to attend or I hang out with my friends or better still sleep cos that's the only time I have to rest. I spend all Sundays in church activities.
